Frequently Asked Questions ​

How do you count an API call?

Each request to any De. API endpoint counts as one API call. Batch operations that process multiple items in a single request still count as one API call, making them more economical for high-volume operations.

Do you require a credit card to get started?

No. You can sign up and start using the Developer tier without a credit card. We'll only ask for payment information when you exceed the free tier limits.

What happens if I exceed the free tier?

When you exceed 10,000 API calls in a month, we'll start charging for additional calls at our standard rates. Your service will continue uninterrupted, and you'll be billed at the end of the month for any usage beyond the free tier.

Can I set usage limits to control costs?

Yes. You can set monthly usage caps in the developer dashboard to prevent unexpected charges. When you reach your cap, you can choose to have your API access paused or to receive notifications while service continues.

Do you offer discounts for startups or non-profits?

Yes. We offer special pricing for qualifying startups and non-profit organizations. Please contact our sales team to learn more about our startup and non-profit programs.

How do you handle overage charges?

Overage charges are calculated at the end of each billing cycle based on your total API usage for the month. Volume discounts are automatically applied based on your total usage.
